International Women’s Day, Year 2017

This year in 2017, the 106th International Women’s Day observed as a galla celebration encourage them to feel proud on being a women the wonderful creation who has the ability create life in the world.

Jaipur
A stunning event based on theme of ITF- :Be Bold to Bring the Change with its Punch Line ”ge fdlh ls de ugha” i.e.” Do not underestimate the women’s power spread its waves of enthusiasm hundreds of women present at women’s day organized by women’s wing of Head Quarter’s office Jaipur and Division office Jaipur.
Our patron, Com Mukesh Mathur GS-NWREU as the chief guest. Sh. R R Prasad, Chief Personnel Officer of NWR Jaipur, Ms Anjali Goyal, DRM Jaipur, Ms Sangita Mathur, the front lady of women, Dr. Laxmi Meena, Sr.DMO, Dr.
Heena Arora, Sr.DPO, Jaipur, Com. Vineet Maan, Zonal vice president, Com. R K Singh, Divisional Secretary, Jaipur as special guests declared the event open by garlanding the photo of Late Com Maniben Kara and lightning the
lamp.
Com. Mukesh Mathur in his address was glad over the fact that the women’s day initiated in our Union some 20 years back has now reached new heights and form. He said that time has come when you have to stand on your feet
don’t depend on any one. The women have proved their intellectuality in every sector, In Railway they are working as Loco Pilot, Guard, Technician, Ticket Examiner, Engineering, office& accounts clerk etc. Sh. R R Prasad expressed his views on gender equality that India’s far behind in this matter. Women’s day and some similar programmes should be organized frequently just like we celebrate our birthdays and weddings. Ms Anjali Goyal encouraged the women to be self dependent in all fronts and appealed all the women to prohibit give & take of dowry strictly.
The short skit and other cultural items were performed by Vibha, Sonali, Parwati, Deepti, Chandni, Neeharika, Lalita, Meena, Savita, Vimla, Taruna, Priyanka, Padmini, Mamta, Pooja, Jyoti, Santosh, Vidya, Sangeeta, Uma,
Rekha, Geeta, Kamla, Aarti, Kanta, Shanti, Sunita got a great applause from the spectators.

Ajmer
The most energetic women wing of NWREU based at Ajmer division held a seminar on women empowerment and organized a grand cultural fest on 8th March 2017 at Railway Institute Ajmer. As the Chief Guest Com. Mukesh
Mathur, GS-NWREU, Special Guest Ms Jyotsna Kumawat, Secretary of women welfare organization, Ms Madhulika Rathore, Rajbhasha Officer, Veena Saney, Personnel Officer, Ms Bhavpreeta, Security Officer, Shikha Gupta, Bhupendra Bhatnagar President-NWREU, Com. Arun Gupta, Divisional Secretary, Mohan Chelani, Divisional chairman inaugurated the function by lightening the lamp and garlanding goddess Saraswati.
The formed welcome to guests and women wing was given by Com Sarika Jain, convener of Ajmer Women wing.
Com. Mukesh Mathur threw highton women empowerment in present content Jyotsana Kumawat and Madhulika Rathore expressed their views on women dignity and self respect.

The cultural fest was the best part of this function. Songs were sung by Rasmi Sharma, Bhawana Verma, Santosh Gehlot, Indira Yadav, Aardhna, Nilima.
The dance performance of Parul, Deepti, Manisha, Sakshi, Kumud, Kusum, Shweta, Bhawna, Arjita,were lovely, The catwalk of Neha, Laxmi, Versha, Shweta, Sakshi, Kususm, Indira, Ankita, Anju, Yamini and Sarika on changing
scenero of bollywood cinema from 1950 to 2017 was the centre of attraction.
Kawwali by Madhu Zindal and team was adorable. The back stage hight stage setup of the event was well managed by other Union Office Bearers.

Jodhpur
This year the celebration of IWD at Jodhpur was the best complaining to last many years. This international women’s day 8th March 2017is marked in golden words as this was for the first time in last 15 years that more than 2 hundreds Railway women of Jodhpur Division gathered in union office on women’s day to address various issues on problems faced by women at workplace Ms Martrayee Charan, Sr.DOM.
The programme was convened by Ms Asha Kanwar who resses on women and girl child education and joining Union by women to have a platform to raise their voice.
Veena Vyas asked women to unite and fight on any matter related to women retired comrade Gayatri Chakrawarty stressed on gender equality and on stop female pesticide.

Bikaner
Bikaner workshop branch of NWREU organized a seminar on women empowerment along with dance, music competition and games for Railway women workers of Bikaner workshop in Barat Ghar at Lalgarh.

secretary Ramzan Ali Bhutto were the guest of honour of the function. The Chief Guest in her address cited contribution of famous women & their function in our society.
The programme was convened by Smt. Meena Kumari, Rajeshwari Devi, Durga Devi of Bikaner workshop, vote of thanks was given by WS branch president Rameshwarlal.

Jodhpur
8th March 2016 celebration held by North Western Railway Employees Union Jodhpur was a Remarkable day in the history of Jodhpur division on account of over whelming women participation on International Women Day there.
The chief guest Ms. Maitraiyee Charan, Senior Operating Manager, Jodhpur and Ms. Rakshita, Dr. Neha Tiwari, Ms. Sheela Panwar as special guests in their address to Railway female workers cited the example of world famous
women achievers in different field and asked all to always move ahead with full Vigilance and confidence at workplace.
The event was Presided and conveyed by Comrade Snehlata Purohit who stressed on better women’s participation in trade Union Movement. Women’s’ wing Comrades Asha, Veena Vyas, Shilpa, Gayatri Chakrabarty, Kanta shared their views on working aspects related to working women and other issues of concern. Nirmla Vishnoi, Bhagwati Sharma, Radha, Kaoushalya, Meena, Khushboo, Nandini, Lata, Padma Kanwar, Pushpa Sharma, Sangeeta, Shrishti, actively participated in the programme. Vote of thanks was given by Comrade Manoj Parihar, Divisional Secretary,
and Mahendra Vyas, Divisional Chairmen of Jodhpur Division with an assurance of all true support by Union on any matter of women empowerment.
