STRUGGLE SEEMS IMMINENT IN FUTURE
Dear Comrades!
Victory of the Ruling Party in Tripura and formation of alliance Government in Meghalaya and Nagaland will lead to furthern its policies in favour of Crony Capitalism which will result in more Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization.
The demands of Central Government Employees including Railwaymen are not being resolved for the last two years. Rumors regarding improvement of Minimum Wage to twenty one thousand and Fitment Formula to three percent should come to stop now as State Minister for Finance, Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, had replied to starred question in the Parliament that the issue of enhancement of Minimum Wage or Fitment Formula is not under consideration of the government.
The Committee for NPS has submitted its report for more than a year but the government is sitting idle on that. The last budget has further fuelled anger in salaried class because they felt cheated in the name of standard deduction by not giving any relief to them in Income Tax.
On the other hand, the salaried class is reeling under extreme pressure of spiraling price rise particularly due to implementation of GST. Under these circumstances, we really congratulate our affiliates who carried out resolution of Gorakhpur and placed a Massive Rally before the Parliament on 13th March, 2018, demanding Guaranteed Pension, Enhancement of Minimum Wage and Fitment Formula, Stopping Privatization and fulfilling of the long pending demands of the Railwaymen.
The massive participation of youth in this rally is only ray of hope and with their involvement, we hope that we can go for a sustained struggle to achieve our demands.
Let’s be prepared for future struggle to meet the challenges in future.
With Best Regards,
