AIRF/24/C/2020 29th July 2020
Hon’ble Shri Piyus Goyal Ji,
Dear Sir
Sub- Grievances of Railwaymen
We have raised many a times important issues pertaining to Railwaymen where on certain issues even you had promptly agreed but could not be resolved. The delay in resolving problems is creating lot’s of frustration among railway employees and they feel frustrated.
It will be in all appropriateness that you may please advice top management of Railway Board to hold a specific meeting on the issues raised by AIRF i.e carrier progression of staff particularly in GP 1800 and GP.4600 , LDCE open by reducing direct recruited percentage, Absorption of course completed act apprentices, as per provision of new apprentices act brought by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Absorption of wards of disabled railwaymen, absorption of Quasi staff, provision of proper houses to railway employees by building maintenance free towers. The freezing of Dearness Allowances to railwaymen worked round the clock during this corona period, filling of vacancies, giving protection to contractual workers, Implementation of Labour laws, , provision of Guaranteed Pension Scheme instead of new pension Scheme.
Sir, AIRF is also opposed to all short of privatization of any part of Indian Railways but at the same time is ready to discuss and implement unanimously agreed measures for increasing productivity and efficiency of Indian railways as a part of Government of India.
We hope you will kindly personally intervene and hold a meeting with AIRF to resolve the issues mentioned above amicably.
With regards.
Shri Piyush Goyal
Hon’ble Minister of Railways
