Dear Comrades,

 Sub: Brief of the meeting held today with the DG(P), Railway Board,  reg. merger of Commercial Clerk and ECRC Cadre in Commercial Deptt.  

A meeting was held today with the Director General(Pers.),         Railway Board, reg. merger of Commercial Clerk and ECRC Cadre in Commercial Department on our letters No.AIRF/86 dated November 29, 2018 and December 10, 2018.

 I explained to the DG(P), EDE(N) and ED(IR), Railway Board, that,  merger of ECRC and Commercial Clerks has created lot of problems because of fixation of their seniority and change in the working.

 I also given them suggestion that, instead of merging them, both the streams of Commercial Clerks and ECRC should be kept in separate pyramid and recommendations of the VII CPC in this regard should be implemented only in the vacancies in the lower grade.

 Railway Board have agreed to discuss this issue further and a meeting with the AM(Commercial), Railway Board, will be held tomorrow in the chamber of the DG(P), Railway Board, to sort out the issue.
