No.AIRF/56 Dated: June 3, 2021

The Chairman and CEO,

Railway Board,

New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Sub: Cancellation of Periodical Transfer of the staff

All India Railwaymen’s Federation(AIRF) vide its letters of even number dated 14th January, 2021, 2nd February, 2021, 5th March, 2021, 24th March, 2021 and 6th May, 2021(copies enclosed) has requested the Railway Board to pend Periodical Transfers till 31.03.2022.

Railway Board, vide their letter No.E(NG)I-2020/TR/2 dated 31st March, 2021(RBE No.25/2021), keeping in view the pandemic situation, have decided to pend Periodical Transfer of the staff till 30th June, 2021.

It may be appreciated that, COVID-19 has not yet settled, and there are still a number of restrictions as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare with respect to COVID-19. In case Periodical Transfers are in vogue, there will be lots of problems in implementation thereof. It may also be appreciated that, there is a surge in the COVID-19 Pandemic spread, as second wave of the said Pandemic is much more contagious and infectious.

In view of the foregoing, Board are again requested to communicate necessary instructions to all the concerned not to issue Periodical Transfer orders till March 2022 , so as to avoid undue hardship to the staff on this account.

An early action in the matter shall be highly appreciated.
