Dear Sir,

Sub: Revised percentage distribution of posts of Track Maintainers

In the meeting held on 27th September, 2013, between the Railway Board(MS & FC) and the Federations, on the subject matter, it was unanimously agreed to revise the %age distribution of the posts of Track Maintainers in the following proportion w.e.f. the date of issue of Board’s letter No.2010/CE-I(Spl)/GNS/15(Pt.) dated 17.08.2012:-

S.No. Category Pay Structure % distribution of posts w.e.f. 17.08.2012 % distribution of posts after 2 years, i.e. w.e.f. 17.08.2014
1. Track Maintainer Gr. I PB-I, GP Rs.2800 06 10
2. Track Maintainer Gr. II PB-I, GP Rs.2400 12 20
3. Track Maintainer Gr. IIII PB-I, GP Rs.1900 22 20
4. Track Maintainer Gr. IV PB-I, GP Rs.1800 60 50

In the meeting it was also agreed that, unanimous recommendations of the Joint Committee for Trackmen in respect of %age distribution of posts of Track Maintainers will he made effective from 17.08.2014, i.e. after a period of two years.

It is quite unfortunate that, despite elapsing a period of more than two years, orders to this effect have not yet been issued from the Railway Board, as a result of which, career progression of the said staff is suffering badly.

It would be in all appropriateness, if necessary orders on the subject matter are issued without any further delay.
