Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a spiritual leader and is a renowned figure in India. He founded Art of Living organisation in 1981 which is a volunteer-based NGO providing social support to the people. He also established a Geneva-based charity, the International Association for Human values, an NGO that engages in relief work and rural development.
Of late Government of India is on a spree to privatize Indian Railways and has taken many decisions to fast track the process of privatizing Indian Railways. Ministry of Railways has already started the process of privatization by inviting bids from private parties globally to run 150 private trains on 109 routes.
Com. Shiva Gopal Mishra General Secretary/AIRF has raised the issue of privatization of Indian Railways at various forums along with draconian decision of Railway Board to surrender 50% posts in Railways, freezing of DA etc. Many decisions taken by Government during recent times have not gone well within the working class in general and railway staff in particular. No movement can succeed without justifying demands amongst citizens. It has become very necessary to take along the various strata of society in fight against the autocratic decisions being taken by the Government of India against working class. Indian Government has already framed a policy to dilute labour laws and bill is waiting parliament session for introduction. a
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is an eminent personality and is a well-known figure not only in India but also across the world. Therefore Com. Shiva Gopal Mishra has chosen yet another platform to put view points of working class to such an esteemed figure. Com.
