Dear Comrades,
Sub: Nationwide General Strike of the Central Trade Unions on 12.02.2026 on the issue of repeal of the 04 Labour Codes and Charter of Demands of the CTUs
As you are aware that the Central Trade Unions in the country have decided to go on the Nationwide General Strike on 12th February, 2026 against implementation of 04 New Labour Codes, viz.:
- Code on Wages, 2019
- Industrial Relations Code, 2023
- Code on Social Security, 2020
- Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020
w.e.f. 21st November, 2021, aimed at rationalizing the existing 29 Central Labour Laws, and also with their Charter of Demands.
All the affiliates of AIRF are advised to keep our support limited to holding of Gate Meetings, Demonstrations, Dharnas, Rallies etc. at the local level within the jurisdiction of their respective unions.
Action taken may kindly be intimated to AIRF Office for better appreciation.
