Sub: Request for enhancement of Kilometrage Allowance (KMA) by 25% to Running Staff w.e.f. 01.01.2024 – Consequent upon Dearness Allowance (DA) crossing 50% and Grant of Risk & Hardship Allowance to various categories along with payment of arrears – regd.
The undersigned is directed to forward herewith a letter No. NC/JCM/2025 dated 21.07.2025 and letter No. NC/JCM/2025 dated 06.08.2025 received from Shri Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary, National Council (Staff Side), JCM on the subject mentioned above for appropriate action.

Dear Comrades,
It is a matter of great pleasure to inform that the Ministry of Finance has approved enhancement of 25% ALK. The above achievement was possible due to vigorous chasing by General Secretary/AIRF, discussion in the JCM meeting and recent persuasion with Department of Expenditure (Ministry of Finance).
Necessary orders will be issued by Railway Board most probably today itself.
Wide publicity amongst the staff may please be given.
