Along with other places of India, the Martyres Day has celebrated by all the branches  of N F Railway Mazdoor Union. Centrally it had been observed in Bongaigaon and Mariani, the place of both Martyr of N. F. Railway. In Bongaigaon, the program started with flag hoisting and Tribute paying program in all four branches including Bongaigaon, NewBongaigaon (BG), New Bongaigaon (Workshop) and New Bongaigaon (Running). In the afternoon, a Bike Rally had been putted out from New Bongaigaon  Workshop branch premises which moving through entire Bongaigaon and New Bongaigaon culminated in Bongaigaon Railway school field. A mass meeting had held there where several noted person including, Rakhal Das Gupta, Ashish Biswas, Joint GS of NFRMU, Samar SenGupta from AIREC, Sadhan Sikdar  from Pensioners association, Phanidhar Das and Tonmoy Sakti raha, AGS, NFRMU were present.

At Maligaon a mass meeting was held at the Head Quarter Premises where hundreds of Railway Employees attended the meeting. The gathering were addressed by Shri pijush Chakraborty, Jt. General Secretary, Shri Kanak Barman, Asstt General Secretary and Shri Bandhan Majumder, Central Organising Secretary with Shri Dipak Bora in the chair. After completion of the mass meeting in memory of the martyrs a colourful programme was held where a large number of lady workers lighted candle and offered floral tribute to the “Swahid Bedi”

 At Mariani also program started with flag hoisting and tribute paying which had been followed by a mass meeting where several noted person including Ramani Barman, President of NFRMU, Dilip Chakraborty, Joint GS, Hema Sarkar, treasurer NFRMU of NFRMU and many other were present. It should be mentioned that the Martyrs Day had also been celebrated in several places like Rangia, Rangapara, Goalpara, Lumding, Dibrugarh, Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar etc.
