Subject:– Revision in the rates of Kilometrage Allowance and Allowance in lieu of Kilometrage (ALK) with effect from 01.01.2024
Reference:– Board’s letter No. E(P&A)II-2013/RS-14 dated 28.05.2019 (RBE No. 85/2019)
Main Content:
Reference is invited to the Board’s letter mentioned above, whereby the rates of Kilometrage Allowance and Allowance in lieu of Kilometrage (ALK) for the running staff were notified.
- In consideration of the persistent demand by both recognized Federations (AIRF and NFIR), the matter was examined in consultation with Finance Directorate and referred to the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure).
Accordingly, it has been decided that consequent upon Dearness Allowance reaching 50% w.e.f. 01.01.2024, revised rates of Kilometrage Allowance and ALK for running staff under Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 shall be as follows:
